Make It UrZ was hatched in the mind of Rob Chuvala years ago, while closely involved with the cycling industry and longing for customization solutions. He has since moved on to the security sector in information technology, but maintains a close relationship with cycling and still prefers to be different and unique.
Rob is also the professional back yard recreational and current record holding snow-tubing champion of Dryden New York! Proof of that on your left.
Malinda Chuvala is a reformed employee of manufacturing, with micro managing managers making every day feel like a D&D dungeon. After an entire decade was devoted to manufacturing millions of widgets, all of which had to be the exact same, Malinda saw Rob’s idea as an opportunity to add fun, creativity, and inspiration to their lives. Her manufacturing days were spent managing customer service, purchasing, production scheduling, and shipping departments.
Malinda also loves to read, is a novice photographer, and can’t get enough of playing with her dogs! She also recently learned to solder, and she came to the realization that soldering is an art form!
Together they began planning and conspiring to turn Make It UrZ from an idea into a reality after attending Maker Faire in NYC. Getting fed up with the current drudgery of their jobs, they spent hundreds of hours of research, hard work, and full on daydreaming and in the end Make It Urz was launched.
Rob and Malinda are married and are parents to a middle school aged boy (Nick), three very spoiled dogs (Speedy, Dottie, and Cross), a couple of cats who despise their existence but allow them to live because they feed them (Sign & Lodi), and a totally quiet and well behaved beta fish (Mr. Beta).
